So a killbot ship docked with my base. I sent some engineers to strip the walls off of the ship. This caused two of the killbots to be sucked way out into space Since they are robots this didn’t kill them though, so now they just stand there doing nothing. Subsequently, one of my technicians floated over to one killbot (for no reason that I can determine), he kills the first killbot and then goes and is killed by the second one. This marks the last place where I have a stable save point.

Now every time I start the game a doctor will soon fly out to the still living killbot to get the body of the technician. This causes the killbot to attack. This causes the game to freeze and then it gets shutdown by windows (apparently without producing any logs). When I try restarting the game this happens every time. If I assign security to attack the killbot before the tech can get there, the game again crashes as soon as the fight starts.

Basically this is a two for one bug, since I have the game crashing and I also had my tech being drawn to killbots for no apparent reason.

EDIT: So I just tried the file for the 10th time or something and this time the doctor stopped half way over to the killbot and turned back. Save file not unplayable anymore. Not sure what happened.

EDIT 2: So just to further update. I’ve managed to proceed with the game after my doctor decided to turn back instead of approaching the killbot. I’m afraid of crashing the game by sending security, so for now the killbot is just floating there and I’m just leaving it alone. I have noticed that the game is now crashing much more frequently than in the past so I fear that the save file has become unstable.

EDIT3: So in my second edit I said that the game was crashing fairly often. I know think that this has been caused by doctors going out the killbot when I wasn’t looking. So now it looks like this save file is doomed to crash constantly due to this one killbot.

Also, I copied the windows error code that I got from the game crashing below:

It would be helpful here to get a game log with the crash's stack trace.
